358 anti-climb welded mesh security fence with concertina topping along a perimeter road, manufactured by SK Weldedmesh

358 Anti-Climb Fencing

SK Weldedmesh manufactures 358 anti-climb welded mesh fencing (also called prison mesh or high-security mesh) for defence, railway, airport, power and industrial perimeters across India. The 76.2 × 12.7 mm aperture is too small for fingers, toes or bolt-cutter jaws, which is why 358 mesh is the standard choice where climbing and cutting must be stopped, not just discouraged.

Why Choose 358 Mesh

Anti-climb mesh

Difficult to Climb

No finger or toe holds anywhere on the panel.

Anti-cut mesh

Difficult to Cut

Small apertures and 4 mm wire defeat standard bolt cutters and wire cutters.

High visibility fence

High Visibility

CCTV, PIR and radar see through the mesh, so the physical barrier supports the electronic one.

Powder coated fence

Long Life

Galvanised plus powder coated panels last 15 years or more outdoors with no maintenance.

Modular fence panels

Modular Kit

Panels, posts, clamps, security bolts and toppings (concertina coil, barbed wire, spikes) supplied together.

Strong welded mesh

Strong

High weld shear strength at every intersection; panels resist impact and crowd pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “358” mean?

It is the imperial size of the mesh: 3 inches × 0.5 inches aperture with 8-gauge (4 mm) wire. The metric equivalent is 76.2 × 12.7 mm × 4.0 mm.

How is 358 fencing different from 868 twin wire or 3D panel fencing?

358 is the highest security level: the tight mesh stops climbing and cutting. 868 twin wire fencing has a 200 × 50 mm aperture with two horizontal wires per line, giving high rigidity for industrial and sports boundaries. 3D panel fencing has the same aperture with pressed V-folds, and is the economical choice for factories, schools and housing. We make all three.

What is the lead time?

Standard sizes in green or black ship within 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation; project quantities are scheduled against the site programme.

Do you supply test certificates?

Yes. Mill test certificates for the wire, galvanising and coating-thickness reports from our in-house lab, and third-party test reports from NABL-accredited laboratories on request.

Can 358 panels be installed on an existing wall?

Yes. Panels can be fixed on base plates to a compound wall or plinth beam, or set into concrete foundations as free-standing fencing.

Do you supply and install?

We manufacture and supply across India and can install through our approved installation partners, or supply to your contractor with installation drawings.
