ANTI CLIMB FENCE

anti climb welded mesh

We manufacture two grades of anti-climb welded mesh fencing: 358 anti-climb mesh (76.2 × 12.7 mm aperture, 4 mm wire) for defence, railway, airport and prison perimeters, and 868 twin wire fencing for industrial and campus boundaries. Both are supplied as complete kits with posts, clamps and toppings.

Technical specification

  • We manufacture anti-cut/anti climb fences conforming to EN 10223 – 7 standards and Mesh panels of multiple dimensions (defense and other critical specifications) are available.
  • Anti–climbing: more small openings, no toe or finger holds.
  • Anti-cut: small openings make cutting very difficult by bolt cutters and wire cutters.
  • Anti-rust: Zinc and polymer powder coating ensure a long service life.
  • Mesh fencing is specially configured to provide maximum visibility, especially used for emergency and electronic detection systems.
  • High weld sheer strength at each intersection.

The design of anti climb fence gives excellent visibility due to its see- through feature. This is a huge plus for the security surveillance facilities( CCTV ,radar PIR) as one can figure out a threat from a considerable distance due to it. So, one can have a robust physical solution which can optimize electronic security solutions as well.

1. What is an anti-climb fence?

An anti-climb fence is a welded mesh security fence whose openings are too small for a foothold or fingerhold. The standard high-security pattern is 358 mesh: 76.2 × 12.7 mm apertures in 4 mm wire. The small openings also stop bolt cutters and wire cutters getting a grip, which is why it is called anti-cut as well. The mesh stays see-through, so CCTV, PIR and radar work through it.

2. Which anti-climb fences does SK Weldedmesh make?

Two grades: 358 anti-climb mesh for defence, railway, airport, power and prison perimeters, and 868 twin wire fencing for industrial, campus and highway boundaries. Both are made to EN 10223-7, hot-dip galvanised and powder coated to IS 13871, and supplied as complete kits with posts, clamps, security bolts and toppings such as concertina coil.

3. How is an anti-climb fence installed?

Posts are set in concrete foundations (typically 600 mm deep, M25 concrete) at 2.5 m centres, or bolted to a plinth beam or compound wall with base plates. Panels are fixed with anti-tamper clamps, and gates are matched to the fence height so there is no weak point in the perimeter. We supply installation drawings with every order and can install through approved partners.

4. What height should an anti-climb fence be?

2.4 m is the usual minimum for high-security sites; 3.0 m and 4.0 m panels are common for defence and railway work, and a Y-arm concertina topping adds a further 0.5 m. We manufacture 358 panels from 1.8 m to 6.0 m.

5. Do you supply test certificates?

Yes. Mill test certificates for the wire, galvanising and coating-thickness reports from our in-house lab, and third-party test reports from NABL-accredited laboratories on request.

6. Where do you supply?

We manufacture in Kolkata and supply across India; export panels for Europe, the Middle East and Africa are supplied in container loads with EN 10223-7 documentation.
